Daniel G. Ryson has worked in broadcast engineering and broadcast engineering management since 1976. His Washington based experience includes ten years with Cavell Mertz, thirteen years with Infinity Broadcasting/CBS Radio, and six years with the National Broadcasting Company. Before coming to Washington, he was a broadcast engineer for many years in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Ryson’s experience includes broadcast facility assessment and improvement (site relocation possibilities, upgrade scenarios, common ownership issues, and coverage improvement scenarios), and the preparation of complex technical exhibits for submission to the FCC, and specialization in broadcast auxiliary matters. More importantly, Mr. Ryson serves as a principal member of our firm's Information Technology team. In this role, he designed the nationally used FCCInfo.com web-based relational database search engine, the SBE on-line frequency coordination web system (http://freq.sbe.org), and our own Cavell Mertz website. Mr. Ryson is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, serves on the SBE National Frequency Coordination Committee, and is a former board member of the Washington, D.C. SBE Chapter.
