Robert J. Clinton, who joined the firm in 2000 has been involved with complex data analysis projects including preparatory studies for DTV construction/modification proposals, population match calculations, directional antenna pattern specifications, propagation analysis, RF exposure assessments, and general allocation, coverage and mapping analysis studies. Prior to joining Cavell Mertz, Mr. Clinton worked for industry giants such as Infinity Broadcasting, Radio One, NBC Television, NBC Radio, Mutual Broadcasting Radio Networks, and National Public Radio. His assignments include preparatory work for stereo transition in both FM and Television facilities, facilitating the transition from mechanical to computer-based facility automation systems, and the development and implementation of computer/networking systems. Included in his experience were his undertaking of numerous studio construction projects at various levels of funding, ranging from piecemeal to wholesale equipment replacement and wiring. While at NBC, he spent several years in television maintenance, acquiring training and hands-on experience with equipment such as cameras, audio and video recorders, television automation, high volume (for their day) storage systems for graphics, weather graphics equipment, and other special effects equipment. Along the way he also worked with two other engineers on an innovative audio processor design which sold briefly as an add-on for the Optimod (tm) 8100 audio processor Mr. Clinton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Engineering from Bob Jones University in 1976 and a Master of Arts degree in Broadcast Management from Bob Jones University in 1980.
